    Reviewing effectivity in security approaches towards strengthening internet architecture

    The usage of existing Internet architecture is shrouded by various security loopholes and hence is highly ineffective towards resisting potential threats over internet. Hence, it is claimed that future internet architecture has been evolved as a solution to address this security gaps of existing internet architecture. Therefore, this paper initiates its discussion by reviewing the existing practices of web security in conventional internet architecture and has also discussed about some recent solutions towards mitigating potentially reported threats e.g. cross-site scripting, SQL inject, and distributed denial-of-service. The paper has also discussed some of the recent research contribution towards security solution considering future internet architecture. The proposed manuscripts contributes to showcase the true effectiveness of existing approaches with respect to advantages and limitation of existing approaches along with explicit highlights of existing research problems that requires immediate attention

    STANDARDIZATION OF NEIKURI (OIL DROP TEST OF URINE) - A SIDDHA DIAGNOSTIC METHOD

    Neikuri is an antique method of urine examination, based on distribution of oil drop in urine which is a remarkable diagnostic and prognostic tool in Siddha system of medicine. Even though these diagnostic method not commonly used in clinical practice and elaborate scientific studies of Neikuri are lacking. Aim: The aim of the study was to test the protocols of the examination of Neikuri for the standardization. Materials and methods: 100 patients were selected and studied with twelve parameters to test the Neikuri. Correlation was considered between the reading of Neikuri and Naadi. Results: Based on the observation, the urine needs to place in a circular glass utensil (3.5 inch petri dish preferable) and a drop (0.25 – 0.5?L) of sesame oil derived from black sesame seeds need to placed less than 2mm height from the surface of the urine, in day time to test the Neikuri. Further the test needs to perform within one and a half an hour from the collection of urine. Conclusion: In conclusion we suggest the methods could be used as a standard protocol for testing Neikuri

    To evaluate the role of sputum in the diagnosis of lung cancer in south Indian population

    Background:The main advantage of sputum cytology is its simplicity, non-invasiveness and minimal discomfort to the patient. Though, the sputum is evaluated in the diagnosis of lung cancer, the report on the same in the South Indian population was lacking. Therefore, the present study has been undertaken to evaluate the role of sputum in the diagnosis of lung cancer in South Indian population.Methods:The material consisted of sputum samples from 133 patients and was collected in clean wide mouthed disposable plastic containers. Patients were asked to collect sputum the next morning after washing the mouth properly. The sputum was immediately brought to the laboratory and poured into a watch glass. Four smears were prepared from each sample, out of which two smears were immediately fixed in methanol and the other two were air-dried. The methanol fixed smears were stained with Papanicolaou stain. Out of the two air dried smears, one was stained with May Grunwald Giemsa and the other with Gabbot's method for AFB. The smears were screened for malignant cells and a cytological diagnosis was made. The cytological diagnosis was correlated with the histopathological diagnosis. The data obtained were represented as mean percentages.Results:The observation of sputum smears showed numerous pleiomorphic keratinized squamous cells, keratinized squamous cell with hyper chromatic nucleus in well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma, pleiomorphic cells having vacuolated cytoplasm and vesicular nucleus with prominent nucleoli as in adenocarcinoma of the lung, cells arranged in small clusters and having scanty cytoplasm in small cell carcinoma and cells are slightly larger than lymphocyte with scanty cytoplasm and hyper chromatic, grooved nuclei in small cell carcinoma.Conclusion:Cytology of sputum is extremely useful and highly sensitive. The diagnostic accuracy is directly proportional to the number of samples. Sputum cytology is highly sensitive for the centrally located squamous cell carcinoma rather than the peripherally located adenocarcinoma. Properly collected, simple sputum examination alone can give results similar to other highly expensive methods like bronchoscopic material for the diagnosis of lung cancer.

    Genome wide analysis of heat responsive microRNAs in banana during acquired thermo tolerance

    MicroRNAs are a class of small regulatory RNAs in plants, which play vital roles during various abiotic and abiotic stress conditions including plant processes. In this present study, we examined the expression of miRNAs and their predicted target expression levels during heat stress in banana. Out of 235 miRNA found in Musa, 40 miRNA showed homology to heat responsive miRNAs from other plants. Further, 14 targets for miRNA were predicted that are potentially regulated by their cognate miRNAs and were monitored under three stages of stress viz, induction, induction + lethal alone using qPCR analysis. The results suggest that generally, there is a negative relationship in the expression patterns of miRNA and their predicted cognate targets - HSP70, HSP90, SAP, DNAj genes. These were highly up regulated and their respective miRNAs showed lower expression. This is the first report in banana, which demonstrated that during induction stress, various thermo-protective genes are activated at initial stages of stress to achieve thermotolerance through altered miRNA expression. The results will help in broadening our understanding acquired thermotolerance and their regulation by miRNAs in plants

We propose Sentiment based analysis is the major key in categorizing the user\u27s Feedback. In thispaper, we study the processing of all the reviews posted in an online shopping application and classify them using SVM. We use big data to analyze the vast amounts of data generated. User reviews are the input to the Big Data HDFS System. Data are stored in the Data Nodes. Index is maintained in the Name Node. Reviews are analyzed using Sentiment Analysis and Positive Negative Tweets are classified. Also products are recommended based on the previous purchases and group notification is sent to all the customers in a group

    The comparison of apache II and apache IV score to predict mortality in intensive care unit in a tertiary care hospital

    Background: The prognostication of critically ill patients, in a systematic way, based on definite objective data is an integral part of the quality of care in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Acute physiology and chronic health evaluation (APACHE) scoring systems provide an objective means of mortality prediction in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The aims of this study were to compare the performance of APACHE II and APACHE IV in predicting mortality in our intensive care unit (ICU).Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted in a 13 bedded intensive care unit (ICU) of a tertiary level teaching hospital. All the patients above the age of 12 years, irrespective of diagnosis managed in ICU for >24hours were enrolled. APACHE II and APACHE IV scores were calculated based on the worst values in the first 24hours of admission. All enrolled patients were followed up, and outcome was recorded as survivors or non survivors. Observed mortality rates were compared with predicted mortality rates for both the APACHE II and APACHE IV. Receiver operator characteristic curves (ROC) were used to compare accuracy of the two scores.Results: APACHE II score of the patients ranged from 1 to 32 and APACHE IV score of the patients ranged from 25 to 142. There was good correlation between APACHE II and APACHE IV scores with the spearman’s rho value of 0.776 (P<0.01). Discrimination for APACHE II and APACHE IV models were good with area under ROC curve of 0.805 and 0.832 respectively. APACHE IV was more accurate than APACHE II in this regard. The cut-off point with best Youden index for APACHE II was 17 and for APACHE IV were 72 respectively for predicting mortality.Conclusions: Discrimination was better for APACHE IV than APACHE II model however Calibration was better for APACHE II than APACHE IV model in present study. There was good correlation between the two models observed in present study

    A model-independent irreducible tensor formalism which has been developed earlier to analyze measurements of p⃗p⃗→ppπ∘\vec{p}\vec{p}\to pp \pi^\circ, is extended to present a theoretical discussion of p⃗p⃗→ppω\vec{p}\vec{p}\to pp \omega and the polarization of ω\omega in pp→ppω⃗pp\to pp \vec{\omega}.
